Registered Psychologist
Aaron Hudson
Aaron is a Registered Psychologist with training and experience in providing psychological assessment, intervention, and counselling support to adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds. Aaron completed a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology through Monash University and has been practising as a psychologist in secondary school settings and private practice.
In addition to his training and experience in psychology, Aaron’s previous working roles have involved working with and supporting vulnerable populations, including victims of violent crime, young people experiencing homelessness, and young people in custody.
In his psychology practice, Aaron enjoys helping clients with emotional difficulties and mood-based disorders (including anxiety, depression, stress, and anger), interpersonal challenges, navigating periods of change and transition, and stressful life events.
Aaron utilises several evidence-based frameworks in his work with clients, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Aaron uses an open and non-judgemental approach in his work with clients, which helps foster greater insight and understanding of personal challenges, and can encourage meaningful opportunities for change and action. Aaron helps clients to develop and practise new coping skills; to learn helpful and empowering ways of thinking and responding to situations; to communicate more effectively; to manage stress, worry, and negative emotions; and to work towards and maintain positive mental health.
Aaron will be working Fridays at Synchronised Psychology. At this stage, he is not accepting Workcover, TAC, VOCAT or NDIS referrals.
